September 10, 2026

Ever Since U Left Me is up for Best Collaboration at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards. Max B and French Montana. Nominations went out August 18, 2026, and the ceremony is Sunday, September 27, 2026.

Ten months home, and the record he made with French is on a VMA ballot.

The category and the field

Best Collaboration, 2026 MTV Video Music Awards. Six records in it:

  • Ever Since U Left Me, French Montana and Max B
  • Chains and Whips, Clipse with Kendrick Lamar, Pusha T and Malice
  • Bring Your Love, Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter
  • Stateside, PinkPantheress and Zara Larsson
  • Dai Dai, Shakira and Burna Boy
  • Hard Part, Teyana Taylor and Lucky Daye

What the record already did

Ever Since U Left Me (I Went Deaf) is the first number one of his career. Number one on Billboard Rhythmic Airplay, and past 40.8 million streams on Spotify off our own count. It is the record that put the wave back on the radio, and it did it while most of the people rapping in that style still could not tell you where it came from.

If that last part is news to you, here is what the wave actually means and who put the word in the culture.

How to watch

Sunday, September 27, 2026, live from Los Angeles. 7:30 pm ET, 4:30 pm PT, on CBS, simulcast on MTV, streaming on Paramount+.

What is next

Night To Remember, the joint album with French Montana, is out October 2, 2026 on Coke Boys Records, five days after the ceremony.

He also just gave his first full length sit down in weeks. Watch it here, and the rest of the run is on the press page.
