Max B sat down with VladTV for a full length interview and it went up on September 8, 2026. Not a clip, not a soundbite pulled out of context, the whole sit down. It is the most complete telling of the Harlem years he has given since he came home.
Where it starts
Harlem. The Abraham Lincoln Houses. The block that made him. He walks through the group home years at Hawthorne and the run that took him from there to a studio, and he does it at his own pace instead of answering somebody else's headline.
How the wave came together
The part the Wave came for. He gets into how the melodic style came together, the thing that got copied so widely that most people using it now have no idea where it came from. Sixteen years later that sound is the standard, and this is him laying out how it was built, in his own words, on camera.
If you are new to any of it, start with what the wave actually means and who put the word in the culture.
And French
He talks about meeting French Montana and what the two of them built out of nothing in Harlem. Six projects together and counting, and the next one is Night To Remember, out October 2, 2026 on Coke Boys Records.
Watch the full thing
The full episode is on VladTV and on YouTube above. Every other sit down he has done since he came home is on the press page.
He came home November 9, 2025 after sixteen years. Since then: a number one record, the BET Awards stage, and a 2026 MTV VMA nomination. Almost all of that story has been told by other people. This is the one where he tells it.
